Sheepskin Life Mini Getaway

At the weekend me and the Mr headed out to to Derbyshire to meet up with my parents whilst they are away on their annual holiday. This year instead of going abroad they wanted to stay in the UK and explore some of the area my mum grew up in. So, on their hunt for a place to stay my mum stumbled across Sheepskin Life in her The Simple Things Magazine

Sheepskin offer original and quirky alternatives to hotels and B&B's in a few locations across the UK. Their cottages/accommodation types are equip with everything you need for a cosy getaway, from breakfast bits, wood for an open fire and cosy bathrobes to snuggle up in once you've explored your beautiful surroundings!

I was so impressed by Town Street Barn in Brassington, I want to share some pictures with you all along with what we thought of the lovely little place,so that maybe next time you are looking for somewhere to holiday you might consider checking out Sheepskin Life!

Town Street Barn is a bit of an upside down pad- when you walk in the front door you are met by a set of stairs  up to the cosy front room.
In the front room there is a little woodburner that you can use when it gets chilly, although in this place it was just right with the heating on!

What I like about Town Street Barn is the added details they have throughout, I especially loved the lampshades in the lounge and huge horns on the beams!
The kitchen area was decked out with all the essentials you'd need for throwing together nice easy holiday meals, from cute salt and pepper pots to little servings of Crush granola.

And of course the essential jam for your toast....
Back over in the living room area is a comfy little sofa and an ikea blanket to get snuggled under in front of the wood burner.
There are also some magazines to have a browse through......

.......along with a bloody cute pineapple thing! I wish I knew where this piece was from... any ideas??
The bedroom is on the same floor as the lounge/kitchen. It has so many cute little touches like the vintage looking lampshades and these Scion white fox cushions.

How cute is this little display box?! You can get a similar one here.
To add to the luxury of the whole place, in the bedroom there is a bath tub! I know my mum has taken full advantage of this and enjoyed a bubble bath and a glass of vino!

Now on to the downstairs.. me and the Mr stayed in the cinema room on the sofa bed for the night. It was really comfy and pretty impressive for film lovers......

On the way into the cinema room there was this lovely quirky phrenology head- you can get a similar one here.

I love the cinema touches they've added to the room; how amazing is this sign!
They've really gone all out with the HUGE TV, pretty impressive sound system, big collection of DVD's and inside the cupboard under the TV was a bag of popcorn and some chocolate!

Last but not least the bathroom;I didn't manage to get any pictures of it but it was just as nicely done up as the rest of the accommodation. Plush towels, clean sleek tiling and sparkling mirrors!

I was really impressed by the whole house; it was so lovely to stay in a place which immediately felt homely and relaxing. All the little touches of home accessories around the place made each room interesting and different from anything you'd expect to see in a bog standard hotel room. I know my parents have loved staying in Town Street Barn for the last few nights and I know they will use Sheepskin Life again in the future!

To stay at Town Street Barn you must book a minimum of 3 nights, which works out at £350. Check out the availability here

I think Town Street Barn would be perfect for a birthday long weekend, anniversary, mini-moon or any other excuse for a few days in luxury!

Sheepskin Life also do pet-friendly stays and some other amazing places to stay. Here are my faves-

Red Kite Barn- this huge barn has a huge projector to watch your fave movies on, faux fur covered chairs to relax in and amazing views of the welsh countryside!

The Cowshed and Annex- huge picturesque house with enough room to sleep 6!

What do you think of the decor? Have you stayed with SheepSkin Life before?

XOXOXXO
