Lindt Easter Haul!

Sunday, 29 March 2015

Evening all!

Firstly.. I need to just apologise that I've been a bit slack with my posting on here... at the moment myself and Lorna are in full event planning mode! If you haven't seen on twitter/ instagram already we are planning a blogger/youtuber afternoon here in sunny Sheffield!More coming on that later this week!

So.. in the run up to easter Lindt contacted me asking if they could send me some goodies.. of course I happily accepted!

I love Lindt Lindor Chocloate- my fav's are the red ones but I have yet to crack this beauty open.. everything could change! Aren't the little bunnies to cute!? Sainsbury's- 4 for a quid!

These little duckies are delicious.. they have a milky white filling in the centre!

Easter wouldn't be easter without a Lindt bunny would it?! I normally go for the milk chocolate one but I can't wait to bite the head off the white bunny. They now even do dark and hazelnut chocolate bunnies!

Finally is this cute little box of milk chocolate eggies... just your standard but smooth and amazingly delish milk chocolate!I love the bow on this.. I've kept it to stick on a pressie!

Lindt chocolate is available pretty much everywhere these days- you can shop their Easter range here  or use their website to find your nearest stockist.

Whats your go-to easter treat?

Masha&Kate mini haul

Thursday, 12 March 2015

Evening all....

Recently I was contacted by Masha & Kate asking whether I'd like to attend one of their fashion show's in Paris... of course I got very excited but it quickly became apparent that I didn't have the time nor the money to go over for a few days.. *sad face*

I emailed them back to let them know and instead they offered to send me over some pieces instead!

The parcel arrived with me last week- the packaging was luxuriously put together and had a pack of leaflets with some beaut pictures of their range of products.

Masha&Kate specialise in casual street wear/lounge wear- jogging pants, scarves, basic tops and capes- but with a bit of a twist, the materials they use are really good quality and they combine interesting patterns to brighten up any outfit!

Masha&Kate let me choose what I'd like to try so I went for-

The Gioielli- a dark blue silk laden with gems, trinkets and hidden little doggies!

As the scarf is part silk its so soft and snuggly- I love the vibrant colours and the long length of the scarf too. I've worn this near enough every day since I received it, its obviously something of a statement piece so I find it goes well with a simple white shirt or my black roll neck top!

The Dracula Fur- a deep and mysterious looking piece covered in keys, rope, fur and wolves!

I adore this piece, and so does the Mr- a lot of Masha & Kate's pieces are unisex so he's been wearing this one too! Again, I've been wearing this one with mainly black (coz thats what i wear best!ha) and I've got so many comments from people about how interesting the print is.

Lastly I went for some comfy looking jogging pants. I love having clothes to lounge about in at home - or as I call them.. my chillers!

Now I've never really owned a pair of good quality jogging pants- my chillers tend to be bits I've picked up from Primark to be honest! These joggers are amazingly good quality- they are SO soft, fit very comfortably (I got large for comfort!) and I love the chain and jewel print.

Are Masha&Kate products worth the money? Yes- you can really feel the difference in quality when compared to cheaper joggers and scarfs!

The next piece I'd like to try is the this top-
Black Anthra Sweatshirt £120
Its pretty simple looking but judging on the items I've been sent this would be so comfy teamed up with my joggers!

Masha & Kate have some beaut pieces on their site- go check them out!

They don't have any stockists in the UK yet but they do ship over here.

Do you like the pieces I've been sent?

XOXO

Retro Packs

Tuesday, 10 March 2015

Evening all!

I wanted to share a post with you all about a project my brother has just launched on Kickstarter!

Lewis, by night, is a freelance web designer/developer and over the christmas holidays we were discussing how amazing it would be for him to come up with a subscription box that combines his love of tech with photography.

He came up with the great idea of Retro Packs- a monthly subscription box that contains three of your most liked/commented Instagram photos!

Heres a bit of info about why he has decided to launch this project-
"I love photography and I love to have my own photos around the home. But I noticed something that's changed in the past few years about the way that we appreciate photographs and it started to bug me. These days, the majority of photographs taken, say on a smart phone, go to one place, Instagram. Instagram says that there have been 30+ Billion photos shared through their app, with 70 million average photos a day. That's mind boggling!
Don't get me wrong, I love Instagram as much as the next guy, and I use it almost every day. The community that you're part of and the feedback you get for your photos is part of what makes Instagram awesome. However,  I do feel that we've kind of lost touch with the original premise of photography these days and it could be suggested that for the majority of the time, photographs are now taken for the amount of likes we think they'll get, rather than for appreciation of what's actually in the frame.
Photographs are personal, meaningful and, most of the time, beautiful snapshots of a part of the past. To see their level of importance as a correlation with their number of likes on Instagram, just doesn't feel right.
From having a quick look at the people that I follow on Instagram, I can see that most of them average over 600 pictures uploaded (myself included), but I wonder how many of these photos make up a part of their home decor?
By this I mean, how many of these people actually have physical copies of their photographs in their homes, offices, cars, wallets etc. I'd take a guess at very few."

Each box is hand stamped with the Retro Packs logo and contains three of your favourite Instagram photos- these can be your most liked, most commented or your own pick of your photos!

All of the photos are printed on 107x90mm high quality paper with a border that allows you to write your own little comment or leave blank.

On the back is the Retro Packs logo, the date you uploaded the photo and the caption you used when uploading it to Instagram!

Some ideas of things you could use the photos for-

Creating a photo wall in your home
Create a physical photo album- something we don't have a lot these days
Give as a cute gift to a special someone
Document the stages of a pregnancy or newborn's growth

Even stuff like labelling your shoe boxes so your fav shoes are easier to find, or documenting your OOTD's in your wardrobe so give you inspiration on those busy mornings!

How lovely would it be to get a surprise each month- if you choose the option of getting your photos randomly selected by Retro Pack's I can imagine getting your parcel and then having a little moment when looking at your three photos- reminiscing on the moment it was taken and the story behind it.

RetroPacks is also letterbox friendly and packaged in recyclable packaging.

Enough of me talking about it... go check out his Kickstarter and be a backer (his goal is £600)

Also make sure you check out the RetroPacks website- designed by him (as is the crazily clever coding to make the whole thing work!)

If you have any comments/suggestions please comment below and I'll pass them on to him!

Lots of love!
